If you've ever wondered what it's like to be a refugee in Australia, you're in luck: The country's University of Western Australia has been awarded a $5.3 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to explore the idea of a "global ecosystem for cultural collaboration," the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports.
The idea is to create a more "supportive global ecosystem" for arts, education, culture, sociology, psychology, public policy, and technology, says Marek Tesar, director of the Center for Global Childhoods and one of the researchers on the project.
He says the project provides a unique opportunity for experts in arts, education, culture, sociology, psychology, public policy, and technology to explore how we might create a more supportive global ecosystem for cultural collaboration.

Teach for America is a social venture that hires graduating seniors from some of the most selective colleges and offers them with five-week training courses before unleashing them for a minimum of two years in some of the country’s worst classrooms.
