"Few organizations in the golf world possess the financial might to make an in-kind donation of $5 million overnight, but Augusta National is not most organizations."
That's the assessment of the Augusta, Ga., golf club, which on Thursday made a $5 million donation to hurricane relief efforts, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The money will go to the Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area, the Medical College of Georgia Foundation, and the American Red Cross, which is operating a mobile feeding truck and recovery center in the area.
