The new CEO of the Prosperity Denver Fund says she's "thrilled to join the team at Prosperity Denver Fund, in service to the vision of Denver's taxpayers and their investment in the future of our community's students."

The nonprofit, a sales tax-funded 501(c)3 that supports organizations providing scholarships to Denver students, has named Rebecca Arno its sole finalist for CEO after an extensive search, the Denver Post reports.

She is expected to assume her role in August.

"After a comprehensive search and evaluation process, we are thrilled to announce Rebecca Arno as our final candidate for CEO," says PDF Board Chair Theresa Pena.

"Rebecca's deep personal and professional experience, her leadership, passion, and community involvement are a tremendous match for the next stage of growth for the Prosperity Denver Fund."

Arno has more than three decades of experience in the philanthropic sector, including time as vice president for operations and communications for the Denver Foundation and vice president of communications for the Daniels Fund.

She earned her master's in nonprofit management from Regis University and teaches in the master's in nonprofit leadership program at the University of Denver.
