The town of Holton, Indiana, was hit by a tornado in 2012, killing six people and decimating much of the town's infrastructure.
In response, the Ripley County Community Foundation set up the Holton Warhorses Legacy Fund to "provide residents with a perpetual source of charitable dollars which could be used to help their community thrive," per a press release.
The foundation is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations in Holton for up to $500, which can be used for a variety of causes, including education, health care, and the arts.
