Dick Sumberg is stepping down as president of the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce after six years, but he's not giving up his role as president and CEO of Essex County's Community Foundation.
Stratton Lloyd has been named CEO of the foundation, which works to improve the health and well-being of residents in the county that includes Haverhill, Amesbury, Salisbury, and Wenham, reports the Daily News of Newburyport.
Lloyd, who has served as president of the chamber since 2004, says he's "humbled by the public input and expert guidance" he's received in his time at the helm.
The Essex County Community Foundation was created in 2000 to improve the health and well-being of residents in the area, per a press release.
Its stated goal is to reduce health disparities and inequities in the region.
The foundation has awarded more than $1 million in grants over the years, per the Daily News.
