A broken sewer main in Watkinsville, Ga., dumped more than 20,000 gallons of raw sewage into a creek last week, the Times-Union reports.
According to the Oconee County Water Resources Department, the main broke around 10:20pm on June 1, sending up to 20,342 gallons of raw sewage into McNutt Creek.
The spill was contained around 1:30am on June 2, the Times-Union notes.
The raw sewage is being tested for contamination.
