"We know that regular physical activity has many physical, mental, and emotional benefits for kids," Tia Tilson, executive director of the Watertown Community Foundation, says in a press release.
That's why the foundation is making it even easier for kids in Watertown, Mass., to participate in youth sports by awarding $9,000 in grants to cover league registration fees, the Boston Globe reports.
The grants will cover the cost of baseball, softball, basketball, football, and cheer programs.
