Give Local Midland is an annual 24-hour giving day in which residents of Midland, Mich., donate to local nonprofits.
This year, 2,794,101 donations were received from 2,794,101 donors, ranging from $5 to $18,000, the Midland Daily News reports.
The money raised will go into the local nonprofit's endowment funds, which are managed by the Midland Area Community Foundation.
"Your contributions play a critical role in fostering long-term transformation through the work of our nonprofit partners in the Midland area," says the foundation's president.
