Southern Nature Fest Featured Free Plants, Educational Activities [Photos]

A monthlong effort to gather community input regarding residents' priorities and needs related to natural resources and nature-based programming came to a close over the weekend in Lancaster, Pa.
The environmental nonprofit Let's Go 1-2-3 hosted a Southeast Nature Fest on Saturday featuring free plants, music, art, games, and educational activities at Hazel I.

The event wrapped up a monthlong effort to gather community input regarding residents' priorities and needs related to natural resources and nature-based programming.Lydia Martin, Let's Go 1-2-3 director of community engagement, reported more than 130 youth and adult surveys had been completed prior to the festival.
Both the Southeast Community Survey and the Southeast Nature Fest were funded through a $15,000 grant from the Lancaster Clean Water Fund, which is administered by the Lancaster Clean Water Partners and Lancaster County Community Foundation.
