If you or someone you know has experienced trauma, the Berrien Community Foundation would like to hear from you.
The foundation is offering a series of free seminars on trauma and its effects in Berrien County, Michigan, WZZM reports.
The interactive seminar, called Resiliency in the Face of Trauma, will teach attendees what trauma is, how it affects health, how behavior is affected by trauma, why people do what they do, and how to build resilience.
Ingrid Slikkers, the director of the International Center for Trauma Education and Care at Andrews University, will lead the presentation.
The same content will be presented at all three events, so interested individuals only need to attend one session.
The event is free, but registration is required as a meal is provided.
