The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole in Wyoming has been named one of the nation's top 100 not-for-profit organizations by the Chronicle of Higher Education.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports the foundation, which has raised more than $100 million since it was founded in 1992, was named after the town of Jackson Hole, which has been named one of the best places to live in the US for 20 years in a row.

The Chronicle of Higher Education's list of the top 100 not-for-profit organizations includes the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson Hole, which received a $1 million donation from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation last year.

The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole's mission is "improving lives through philanthropic leadership," according to its website.

"The team is smart and flexible but that is not as important as the desire to create a supportive environment where meaningful change is possible with nonprofit partners, and in turn, the community at large," the president says.
