The Self Family Foundation in Greenwood, SC, has awarded more than $75,000 in grants over the past 75 years to improve the quality of life for residents in the area.
This year's recipients include the Food Bank of Greenwood County, which received $49,000; the Harrison CDC, which received $12,500; the Westview Middle School Girl Power program, which received $12,000; the SC Lions Charitable Services, which received $7,500; the American National Red Cross, which received $15,000; and Healthy Learners, which received $40,000, the State reports.
The foundation was founded in 1942 and has its primary focus on education, community wellness, arts, culture, and history, per its website.
