Two 18-year-olds from New Jersey are among the nation's top young entrepreneurs, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports.
Rohan Kapoor and Jack Reichert, both of whom are seniors at Unionville High School, are the co-founders of Go Green Filter, which makes filters to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in cars and small trucks.
Nearly 17% of all greenhouse gas emissions are caused by cars and small trucks, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The filter they created clips onto exhaust pipes to lower the amount of carbon emissions released by that gas-powered vehicle.
The filter uses water, algae, and a light source to create an environment ripe for photosynthesis, which converts carbon dioxide into oxygen.
Go Green Filter said its product reduces carbon dioxide emissions by around 74%.
It is also supposed to represent a more affordable alternative to electric vehicles.
