The Atlanta Braves have a new co-owner, and it's no surprise.
Anil Damani, a native of Pakistan who now lives in Atlanta, bought a controlling stake in the team earlier this year, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The move was first reported by the Journal-Constitution's Page Six, which spoke to people close to Damani.
The Journal-Constitution notes that Damani's company, Lucky Bucks, is the largest COAM provider in Georgia.
He also owns 27th Group Properties, a real estate company.
The Journal-Constitution notes that Damani "has been deeply involved in educational initiatives, healthcare projects, and environmental conservation efforts."
