Justin Martin is the CEO of a Tacoma, Wash., credit union that was recently named to the Forbes Best Credit Union lista list that only 3% of all credit unions nationwide made.
But that's not the only honor Martin has received.
He's also been named to the Tacoma Community College Foundation's board of directors, and the foundation has hired a new director of philanthropy, reports the News Tribune.
That director, Ray Im, "will lead efforts to develop and execute resource development strategies in support of the TCC's annual and long-term funding goals," the foundation says in a press release.
Im, who earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, "is a dedicated relationship-builder committed to advancing equity work and journeying with partners in communityto affect change for good.Reader Interactions" writes the foundation's executive director.
As for Martin, he's "passionate about ensuring the credit union is a catalyst for positive change within the community, with a focus on promoting financial inclusion, providing equitable access to environmentally sustainable products, and building generational wealth for all."
