The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County is in need of new playground equipment, and the community is coming together to make that happen.
The club is asking for donations, and the Lawrence County Community Foundation is now accepting online applications for its 2024 Open Grant Cycle, the Times Bulletin reports.
The foundation is offering $100,000 for "boost" and "impact" grants, as well as more than $30,000 for specific causes, including parks, disadvantaged children, and senior citizens.
"Every dollar given is invested leveraged to ensure your gift lasts forever," says Hope Flores, CEO of the foundation.
The Times Bulletin notes that over the years, the foundation has awarded more than $20 million in grants.
