Leadership Southern Indiana Gets Grant from Youth Philanthropy Council
Foundation: Community Foundation of Southern Indiana
A high school leadership program in southern Indiana is getting a big boost from a local foundation.
The Youth Philanthropy Council of the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana has awarded Leadership Southern Indiana a $1,000 grant to help fund the group's NEXGEN program, which provides high school juniors with "immersive experiences in various community sectors, including government, financial literacy, workforce development, and more," per a release.
The program ends with a capstone philanthropic project, and the recent surge in applications for the Class of 2025 "underscores the program's burgeoning influence and its significance in shaping future community leaders," says Leadership Southern Indiana's president and CEO.
"We are deeply honored to receive this recognition of our organization's efforts and their investment in our community," he adds.
