If you've ever wished you could do something for a friend or family member who's battling cancer, well, now's your chance.
The Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships in Columbia, Pa., held its second annual Raise the Region online fundraiser on March 13 and 14, during which thousands of people donated $1.98 million to 350 nonprofit organizations in seven counties, PennLive.com reports.
That's a record for the event, which has now raised $19 million since it began in 2013, according to the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania.
"In an economy that's a little slower than last year, nevertheless Raise the Region always amazes me," the dealership's president and CEO said in a statement.
Raise the Region was open to people of all ages and was broken down into three categories: small, medium, and large.
Donors were able to choose from three categories based on their donation size: small, medium, and large.
The second-place winner in the small category received $2,000, the second-place winner in the medium category received $2,000, and the third-place winner received $1,000.
