The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2024and it's getting a hefty gift to mark the occasion, the Quad-City Times reports.
The foundation, which was founded in 1999, has donated more than $47 million to various causes over the years, including scholarships for students, housing, health, education, and racial justice, according to a press release.
The gift of $1 million will go toward its 25th anniversary celebration, and it's the largest donation in the foundation's history.
"We are excited and poised to commemorate this community partnership actively working to strengthen our community in countless ways," says Community Foundation president Charla Schafer.
