Lincoln, Neb., has a new director of development, and he's no stranger to giving back.
Kyle Cartwright has raised more than $11 million in the past five years for the Lincoln Community Foundation, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and the Lied Center for Performing Arts, among other causes, per a press release.
"A healthy society is an engaged and connected one, and Civic Nebraska invests in the spaces that bring us all together," Cartwright says.
He's also a veteran: Cartwright, a staff sergeant in the Nebraska Army National Guard, plays saxophone with the 43rd Army Band and lives in Lincoln with his wife and 3-year-old son, reports the Lincoln Journal Star.
"When he's not working for the betterment of his community, Kyle loves cycling, listening to good podcasts, playing board games, and volunteering," says the press release.
"Like father, like son: Kyle and Porter jamming."
