For six weeks this month, residents of Kankakee County, Ill., will be learning about racism in a fun way.
The "My Piece in the Puzzle" program, put on by Project SUN, will run from Nov.
7 to Dec.
12, the Daily Journal reports.
Participants will learn about the " construct of race in America, a power analysis of systemic racism, and identify current challenges to equity in our community," according to the project's Facebook page.
"After taking a historical journey of the United States, participants will begin developing an understanding of the construct of race in America, a power analysis of systemic racism, and identify current challenges to equity in our community," the project's website says.
The program is free and open to the public.
