The California Highway Patrol has identified the driver who plowed into a group of pedestrians in Palo Alto on Friday, killing one and critically injuring the other, reports the Palo Alto Weekly.
The driver has been identified as 63-year-old Gregory Luellen, who was reportedly on his way to work when he hit the pedestrians.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other victims have been identified as 69-year-old Cathryn Young, a former CIA officer who worked in Washington, DC, and 80-year-old Joan Wrenn, a longtime Palo Alto resident who collected botanical prints and salt cellars, reports the San Jose Mercury News.
