The Comox Valley Community Foundation is accepting grant applications until Sept.
21 for a total of $441,360 in funding to be distributed to local non-profit organizations in British Columbia.
The CBC reports the money will be divided into five grant streams: $75,000 to address housing insecurity and homelessness $70,000 to support recreation and social programming for adults with diverse abilities $50,000 to support environmental initiatives $40,000 to assist with charitable education and training $366,369 to address food insecurity and systems, mental health, and Indigenous led or benefitting projects

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) released the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles, an agreement signed by 34 banks, including the original eight of the nation’s leading banks, that covered nine key areas: environmental and social risk management, environmental and social footprint, human rights, women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, environmental and social governance, capacity building, collaborative partnerships and reporting.
