The University of Toronto has a new video series called "Changemakers" that looks at some of the school's alumni who are leading the way toward a more sustainable future.
In the first episode, alumni likelugbenga Olubanjo, founder of green-tech startup ReeddiAvneet Ghotra, and Kehkashan Basu, co-founder and president of the Green Hope Foundation, talk about how they've used green technology to solve some of the world's biggest problems.
Among them: building a solar-powered battery for communities in Africa and developing sustainable textiles for the fashion industry.
"Even if sometimes the situation does look bleak, there is always hope to bring about change and to take action," says Basu.
