The Girl Scouts of the USA has a new CEOand it's a woman.
Elizabeth (Liz) Borer has been promoted to associate general counsel atgill Philanthropies, where she will lead the $9.3 billion grant-maker's global communications, equity, culture, and learning, human resources, and strategic planning efforts, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Borer, who has been with the organization since 2001, previously served as vice president for corporate affairs and global communication at the Environmental Defense Fund.
She also worked at the Girl Scouts of the USA as vice president for corporate affairs and global communication.
Borer will report to Elizabeth (Penny) McDonald, who has been promoted from director of legal services to executive director of the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice.
