The Florida Supervisors of Elections Association is offering $1,200 scholarships to four college students in the state who plan to major in business, politics, or journalism in the fall of 2023, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports.
The four scholarships are open to residents of Sarasota County who have been residents of Florida for at least two years and are registered to vote in the county where they are applying for the scholarship.
To be eligible, an applicant must be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a senior college or university in Florida, have maintained a "C" average or above the previous school year, and be majoring in political science, public administration, business administration, journalism, or mass communication.
