A high school senior in Indiana has been named the 2023 recipient of a $50,000 scholarship from the Lilly Endowment.
John Mitchell Adams, a senior at Madison Consolidated High School in Madison, Ind., plans to major in sports media and broadcasting but is undecided on a college, reports the Journal & Courier.
He's also a member of the National Honor Society, involved in band, and plays the piano and organ for his church.
"I could not be more honored to have been selected and to have been a part of a great group of finalists," Adams says.
The scholarship, which pays for full tuition at any eligible Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university, is open to all high school seniors in Jefferson County.
