A Massachusetts nonprofit that provides after-school programs for at-risk girls is getting a $72,000 grant from the state's Department of Children and Families, the Taunton Daily Gazette reports.
The Easton-based Talbot Women's Fund is giving away the money, which will be used for programs that include after-school activities, after-school clubs, and after-school programs for at-risk girls.
"It's a great way for us to continue to make a difference in the lives of at-risk girls," the group's president tells the Gazette.
The money will be used to create a new after-school program called "After-school Matters," which will offer after-school activities and after-school programs for at-risk girls in the Taunton area.
