Twenty-one small and midsize arts groups in New York City's five boroughs were awarded by the New York Community Trust with two-year grants totaling $1 million.
The grants were given as operating suppert. Among the recipients are Asian American Writers' Workshop, the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, Evidence, and Poets House.
