The Charles C.Keller Excellence Award for Corporate Philanthropy was presented to CNX by the Washington County Community Foundation in November. Workers at CNX gained experience preparing and delivering boxes for Food Helpers and packing Love in a Backpack for the Salvation Army, among other charitable organizations. The Coaching Boys to Men program has helped young male athletes realize the importance of healthy relationships. Chad Griffith's favorite project is a $1 million grant to provide internet to Greene County, which he received as Chief Operating Officer. Newsweek just designated CNX as one of the 400 most responsible firms in the United States.
Chief Executive Officer Nick DeIuliis says, "We are absolutely certain that the job we undertake on behalf of society is worthy." The CNX Foundation was recently established to handle the company's $30 million investment over five years to widen the route to the middle class across the Appalachian area, which was just announced.
