Canton Council Approves Exterior Improvement Program

Canton council approves exterior improvement program.

Citywide program will reimburse homeowners for 10% of qualifying exterior renovations.

Money will come from the city's neighborhood fund, created by Issue 13 and an income tax increase in 2018.

Councilman John Mariol II, D-7, who previously served on the nonprofit's board of trustees, abstained.

The Community Building Partnership (CBP) will not charge the city administrative fees.
