The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts awarded $605,000 in grants to 66 nonprofit organizations in the Pioneer Valley, with grants ranging from $2,000 to $35,000.
Nancy Reiche, vice president for programs at the Community Foundations said that the wide range of needs and constituencies stands out. Areas served by the grants are health, education, culture, the arts, the environment and housing.
