Crown Point Community Foundation threw their annual dinner meeting last month at Lighthouse Restaurant to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the foundation. During the dinner, three board members were honored: Joe Beckman, Marge Kerr, and Gerry Stietner.
They also accepted three new board members: Nancy Cowan Eksten, Ben Ballou, and Mike Dexter.
Moreover, they elected Executive Officers to the Committee of the Foundation as well.

A Gilesgate-based shop and community facility, Hexham’s Core Music, launches a separate workshop where up to six people will be trained how to repair guitars and make ukuleles. The European Social Fund grant supported the project and has secured funds through the County Durham Communication Foundation to equip the workshop in Burn Lane.
