The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham announced $1.1 million in grants for 20 organizations to improve education and health.
The Community Foundation grants aim to: help decrease the high school dropout rate, increase high-quality early learning opportunities for children through age 8, improve nutrition and healthy food access and increase opportunities for physical activity, and to improve access to health care for vulnerable populations.
