The Kalamazoo City Commission accepted a $50,000 grant from the Kalamazoo Community Foundation to fund the city's Summer Youth Employment Program for teens ages 14 to 17, giving 100 teenagers jobs this summer.
The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency will operate the program, which places teenagers on city park cleanups, with neighborhood organizations and with nonprofit organizations.
