The San Fernando Valley Council of Governments has reorganized a local foundation to help ensure that some of the $400 billion San Fernando Valley-area residents' inheritances will benefit local charities.
Robert L. Scott, executive director of the San Fernando Valley Council of Governments and secretary of the foundation said that this is an opportunity for Valley-based charities and foundations to funnel money back into the community, rather than somewhere else.
