Oregon Live notes organizations awarded grants by foundations to continue their individual causes under Community Helpers.

Some of the cited philanthropy are: Nike awarded $245,800 to Hillsboro School District to be utilized in teacher training and support while Clackamas Community College received $1.8 million from the IFC family trust (Jerry Inskeep and family) to be used to create an endowment for scholarships.
