The American Red Cross in West Virginia has received more than $12,000 in grants to help people affected by disasters.
The money is coming from the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation, the Charleston Gazette-Mail reports.
The PACF works with local community organizations to award $334,000 in grants over the next few years.
This year's winners include the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, meanwhile, received $8,000 to buy music instruments.
