The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is dishing out more than $5 million in grants to 151 local chambers of commerce that were hit hard by the Covid-19 flu pandemic.
Gov.
Bruce Rauner's office announced the recipients of the Back to Business Local Chambers grants this week, with the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce getting $20,806, the Herald-News reports.
"This gives us a little more stability, helps us in stabilizing our organization so we can continue to keep doing what our mission isto help business in this community to thrive and be successful," says the chamber's president and CEO.
"We're still dealing with some supply chain issues, but we've really turned a corner."
