Patte Peterson, one of the founders of the Winona Community Foundation, is now being considered as one of the models of volunteerism after she has devoted most of her life serving the community of Winona.
Since the year 2003, the Community Foundation has steadily grown and at the end of 2011, the amount of grants exceeded $18,000,000.
