The Portland Foundation announced more than $300,000 in winter grants and Teacher Creativity Mini-Grants on Tuesday.
Nearly 20% of the total grants awarded went to John Jay Center for Learning, including $31,800 for the Skills Trac Industrial Maintenance training program for Jay County Junior-Senior High School seniors.
Jay Community Center was awarded nearly $50,000 for its Boomer sports programs.
