An Illinois county has awarded $3.37 million in grants to 15 nonprofit organizations to help with issues including food insecurity, housing, mental health, and substance use disorder, the Chicago Tribune reports.
"The DuPage Community Partnership aims to address areas of food insecurity, housing, mental health, and substance use disorder," DuPage County Board Chair Deborah Conroy says.
"In the most recent round of grant awards, $2.76 million was awarded to address substance use disorder and mental health concerns."
Among the recipients: Alive Center, $98,000 Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, $322,200 Ellyn Children's Resource Center, $100,000 KidsMatter, $270,000 Little Friends, Inc., $241,000 Metropolitan Family Services DuPage, $550,000 Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services, $398,500 Ray Graham Association, $223,615 Serenity House Counseling Services, Inc., $200,000 and Tri-Town YMCA, $183,000.
