The Richard King Mellon Foundation has awarded a grant in the amount of $22 million the Center for Energy at the University of Pittsburgh. The objective of the grant is to create new faculty positions and graduate fellowships and to establish a fund for spurring innovative research as well as support center operations.
Through the grant, the center pursues energy research and expects it to accelerate together with its education efforts for the benefit of the Pittsburgh region.
